Hello, I’m Taylor Mavis!

I’m an illustrator and storyteller based in Rockland, Maine, creating cozy worlds filled with curious creatures and everyday adventures.

When I’m not drawing, you can usually find me watching for wildlife along the coast, cooking comfort food, or adding yet another teapot to my collection of wonderfully impractical ones shaped like storefronts, tiny pieces of furniture, and other things that probably shouldn’t be teapots.

I am a digital illustrator who primarily works digitally in Procreate and Adobe Fresco. My work is rooted in storytelling where my characters explore friendship, community, shared meals, and the occasional emotional hiccup. I’m particularly interested in stories about found family and the small rituals that make a place, or a group of people, feel like home.

Whether I’m making a comic, illustrating a children’s book spread, writing a story, or designing prints and stickers, I’m always looking for the story hiding underneath the picture. I want my work to feel heartfelt and comforting, while providing space for humor, curiosity, and the wonderfully weird parts of being alive.

If you’re interested in working together, I’d love to hear from you. Please email taylormavisart@gmail.com
